Scope
As part of an M&A divestiture, a private equity operating company requested Exiom assistance to integrate their global JDE instance with a leading third-party logistics provider’s (3PL) warehouse management system (WMS) as part of their transition to become a fully standalone company from the divesting entity.
Project implementation
- Implemented JDE/WMS integrations for x9 3PL Distribution Centres across the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions.
- Inbound purchase order receiving
- Inventory movements (cycle count, transfers to/from damaged etc.)
- Value Added Services e.g. work order kitting
- Outbound customer orders (pick, pack and ship)
- Embedded the JDE/WMS flow into the global order to cash business process.
Fully integrated end to end business process

Result
The integrated solution delivered several benefits to the organisation, including:
- Supported a strategic initiative by enabling the private equity entity to become fully standalone for warehousing and distribution activities.
- Significant cost savings by existing the Transition Service Agreements (TSA’s) between the private equity operating company and the divesting entity.
- A standardized process template was developed and implemented in all regions, enabling the company to establish a consistent end-to-end Order to Cash process throughout its operations. This global solution streamlines support for both IT and business teams at each location.
- Transactions flowing seamlessly between JDE and the WMS with daily reconciliations and controls in place to quickly identify and resolve any discrepancies.
